The Anatomy of a High‑Signal Activity Feed
A great feed is a control tower, not a chat log. It should surface who owns what, what’s blocked, and what’s next—and mute the rest. In Taskek, your feed spans Kanban Boards, Docs, the Draw Board, and Cards, with AI Assistant to summarize threads and extract actions.
What “signal” really means
Prioritize events that change execution:
- Blockers added/removed
- Owner or due date changed
- Status moved into Review/Blocked/Done
- Direct @mention to you
- Doc section updated for Acceptance Criteria
- Risk added to spec
Collapse or hide: cosmetic edits, card reorders, minor text tweaks, duplicate file uploads.
Recommended filters & saved views
Create three saved feeds per project:
- My Work (24h) — mentions, owner/due‑date changes on tasks you own.
- Blockers Only — tasks in Blocked or with “Blocked” label, sorted by age.
- Upcoming (Next 3 days) — tasks with due dates approaching, grouped by owner.
Pin these views at the top of your project Doc so everyone checks the same signals.
Turn activity into action
- From any high‑signal item, add a one‑line comment: owner + date + outcome.
- If a debate spans >5 comments, convert to a task titled as a done statement and link the Doc anchor (
#decision-log). - Use mentions sparingly: one accountable owner; add followers for FYI.
AI accelerators that stick
- Daily digest: “Summarize today’s high‑signal feed for project. List blockers, owners, next steps (< 120 words).”
- Blocker sweep: “From the last 48h feed, list open blockers by age and propose one mitigation each.”
- Status draft: “Draft a stakeholder update using tasks moved to Review/Done since Monday.”

Design guardrails to prevent noise
- Bundle repeated edits on the same card into one entry with a “+n updates” capsule.
- Escalate overdue changes: items slipping twice get a red badge until acknowledged.
- Age visibly: show “Blocked for 3d” chips; sort by time‑blocked by default.
- Trace decisions: every scope change logs a dated line in the Doc’s
#decision-log.
Team ritual (15 minutes, twice a week)
- Open Blockers Only view.
- For each item: owner speaks, AC link confirmed, next step assigned.
- AI generates recap; PM posts in the Doc header under “What Changed”.
Metrics to watch
- Mean time to unblock (MTTU)
- % items with owner + due date
- Digest adoption rate (views on AI summary)
- Unresolved mentions >48h (trend to zero)
A high‑signal feed gives you fewer, sharper cues. When blockers, owners, and deadlines are unmistakable—and everything else is collapsed—teams act faster and ship cleaner.
